Join us for a real life gold adventure! We leave from Clunes, Victoria’s first gold town and travel in a 4 wheel drive to the local gold bearing bushland, where places of interest are pointed out along the way. Once we arrive at the National/State Park the real adevnture and search for gold begins!

With over 30 years experience, this is one of the leading personalised gold prospecting adventures on the Victorian Goldfields.

The experience us accompanied by an expert tour guide, who has been prospecting since 1980 and has found hundreds of ounces of gold during that time. You will learn many tips of the trade that the serious gold prospectors don’t want you to know about, plus some well kept secret locations revealed on the day. All this in a very small group with lots of personal one on one attention.

The experience is located a 30 minute drive North of Ballarat.

Session Length

The Gold Adventure runs from 9.30am – 4.30pm. We start with an hour of tuition on how to find gold and how to use a metal detector. Then we head out to the bushland to have a go at finding some gold for ourselves. The experience is available Thursday to Sunday, and runs from 9.30am to 4.30pm.

Guidelines:

Participants must be a minimum of 12 years of age and a basic level of fitness is required for walking.

Numbers:

There is a maximum of 4 persons in a group with one instructor.

Spectators:

Not suitable for spectators.

Weather:

This experience can be affected by the weather. We will postpone the adventure on Code Red Days of Total Fire Ban. We will confirm this with you the evening before.
