Escape the city and discover unspoiled coastline, native bushland and wildlife on a one-day walking adventure through Sydney’s Royal National Park.

See ancient Aboriginal carvings, stunning headlands, unique sandstone formations of Wave Rock and the White Cliffs of Marley and the secluded beaches.

See majestic humpbacks from excellent cliff-top vantage points on their annual migration between June and November.

Expertly guided and fully catered, this is the perfect way to get outside and discover Sydney's natural beauty. This is graded as an easy walk as it is relatively flat, although we do recommend moderate fitness. We walk up to 14km over 8 hours, including photo, rest and lunch breaks. Come prepared to hike, wearing enclosed, supportive shoes and appropriate clothing.

Easily accessible by road or public transport from the CBD in less than an hour, we meet at Cronulla for a short ferry ride across the Port Hacking River to the walk's starting point at Bundeena.

Venue:

The Royal National Park is on Sydney’s southern border. Meet at Cronulla, less than one hour from the CBD on public transport.

Session Length

This is a 9 hour day adventure (8:15am – 5:30pm), Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The day begins with a 20 minute scenic ferry ride. You spend 6.5 hours walking in the Royal National Park, allowing time for lunch, rest breaks, photographs and watching whales, before returning via ferry.

Guidelines:

This is graded as an easy walk as it is mostly flat. However there are some small hills and steps, so moderate fitness is advised. A minimum age of 8 years is recommended.

Numbers:

Day walks are small groups (minimum of 4 people), limited to a total of 15 people. There is one experienced guide for the group.

Weather:

Tours will run in any weather conditions except in cases of extreme storms or where the National Parks and Wildlife Service deem it too dangerous, i.e. in extreme fire danger. Please bring a rain jacket/poncho if required. There is some shelter in caves along the track.

Other Info:

You will be provided with goody bag a containing your fruit, snacks and drink which you will need to carry. It is also necessary to bring your own water, approximately 2 litres each.
