Have your writing read and critiqued by a professional writing coach, and then spend a motivating and insightful hour over coffee discussing your writing and writing goals. Discover tips for strengthening your writing, insights into publishing, how to make money from writing, and so much more.

Mail in 2500 words of your writing and receive personalised, positive and targeted feedback. You can choose to have a story or article critiqued, you may even decide to send in a selection of shorter works or part of a larger one. It’s entirely up to you which pieces of your writing you receive feedback on. However, this service is not provided for poetry, technical, corporate or educational writing.

One to two weeks after you have mailed in your writing, you are then entitled to a one hour session with your own personal writing coach. During which time you can discuss your writing and your writing dreams and receive information and advice on both, all in a friendly and relaxed setting.

This is your time to learn hints and tips in the craft that can make a substantial difference to your writing, and to your chances of publication if that is what you are aiming at.

This experience takes place at My Hawthorne.

Session Length

1 hour coaching session. The sessions are available between 8:30 and 6pm, everyday except for public holidays.

Guidelines:

This writing coaching session is not suitable for writers of poetry, business, educational and academic writing. The minimum age is 16.

Submitted work for the critique must be mailed at least 14 days before meeting, typed in Times New Roman or Arial 12 font, doubled spaced, pages numbered and written in English.
