If you’ve ever wanted to learn about wine, then this wine appreciation course is the simple answer! Experience a 2 hour wine course for beginner’s right in the heart of Melbourne where you can learn and taste your way through an intimate appreciation of wine with your very own certified Sommelier.

Expand your knowledge whilst learning the basics of wine tasting and appreciation. Each two hour tasting will focus on the varietal expression of wines, their history and style. We keep it simple and informative.

Course topics include:

Spanish Wine
French Wine
Italian Wine
Australian Wine

Courses are held each Monday night, nominate the course of your preference and we will advise the next available date.

During the wine appreciation session, your sensory evaluation will be educated and honed, so that you can make informed decisions when choosing wine for different occasions. During the evening we will taste through 10 wines and have fun doing it.

All you need to bring is a pen and paper and most importantly, your nose!

This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

Session Length

This course runs on Monday evenings throughout the year, subject to availability and minimum numbers. The course is 2 hours in duration and commences at 6pm.

Guidelines:

You must be over 18 years of age to participate. This course is suitable for anyone with a passion for good wine. No prior experience is necessary.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for one person. We operate with a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 15 people. In the event that minimum numbers are not met, we reserve the right to reschedule your experience for a later date.

Spectators:

Not suitable for spectators.

Weather:

This experience takes place indoors and is therefore not affected by the weather.

Other Info:

All wines and glassware is provided. We recommend that you keep a pen and paper handy during the course to take any relevant notes. The full course runs over a 6 week period. This experience will allow you to attend one of the six weekly courses.

I came out of this course with some general knowledge on what to look for when selecting a wine. I am now educated enough and feel confident to have a conversation about wines. The course was a little more advanced than I thought it might be, however I was very pleased with the information that I have retained.

Ben is clearly very knowledgeable on subject, with a pleasant and flowing delivery. With particular relevant Australian, knowledge being readily forthcoming and easily and clearly explained details of the key aspects of aged wines, I found the 2 hour session to pass all to briefly. Enjoyable & informative sampling/tasting & discussion amongst 18 or so people who enjoy a nice wine. We sampled a range of white, red & fortified wines from Australia. Ben provided great insight & knowledge on the wines & made the evening a success with an open & friendly atmosphere. Excellent way to spend an evening after work!
