Your Penfolds Great Grange Tour will unveil the stories behind Dr Penfolds life, as you discover the original family home - Grange Cottage. You will then go onto exploring the 60 year old Shiraz vines, underground tunnels and cellars of the historical working winery.

It is then, that you will step into your very own exclusive cellar, decadently set up for your tutured tasting led by a Penfolds Wine Educator. The experience includes the tastings of six Penfolds Super Premium wines, including the iconic Grange, all accompanied by platters of the best regional cheeses.

To complete the tour you will be invited to taste a barrel sample of Penfolds 20 Year Old Bluestone Tawny.

Session Length

This experience is available every Sunday at 1pm, or on request with a minimum of 4 people. The experience lasts 2.5 - 3 hours. Please book as far in advance as possible to avoid disappointment. Please arrive for your tour 10 minutes prior to tour departure at 12:50pm.

Guidelines:

Due to safety regulations this experience is not suitable for children under 5 years. Wine tastings are only available if you are 18 years and over.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for one person. Group sizes vary with an average of 5-10 people. Maximum capacity for the Penfolds Grange Tour is experience is 30 people.

Spectators:

This experience is not suitable for spectators.

Weather:

A very small component is conducted outdoors, as such, the experience continues in most weather conditions. If in doubt please contact the supplier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! This tour and tasting was informative, interesting, enlightening, historical and of course consisted of fabulous wine to taste. Our guide was knowledgable and made wine appreciation accessible to the novice as well as the connoisseur. The only improvement would be to provide fresh baguettes for the cheese and err on the side of caution and provide more rather than less. As a cheese lover, particularly with good wine, it's frustraing to leave cheese on the plate because the biscuits/baguettes have run out. 28 April 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ultimate wine experience This experience has everything a wine lover could wish for. Location, Atmosphere, History and of course the wine! Our guide Edwina did a great job and was a wealth of knowledge. The tour culminated in our own private cellar, surounded by magnificent wines. We were treated to a leisurely (and generous) tasting of several top shelf wines including the Iconic Grange! If that was not enough, there were generous discounts available for tour participants at the cellar door. Tip .... if you buy a few bottles you can recover the cost of the tour! 4 November 2012
