On the day of your Barossa Valley winery tour, you will be collected from your accommodation before setting off for a full day in the beautiful wine growing region.
First stop is Jacob's Creek Visitor Centre and there is no better way to start the day. We’ll taste a range of their award winning wines while enjoying the ambience of the state of the art visitor’s centre.
Next stop is Maggie Beer’s Farm Shop where there is a choice of 6 different wines under the Beer Bros. Wine label. These wines are available for tasting and purchase. Visit the Farm shop and tempt your taste buds with some of Maggie’s famous products or maybe purchase a few bottles to enjoy later.
Third stop is at the Wolf Blass Winery. This is the venue for lunch (subject to availability on the day). You’ll enjoy a gourmet, regional platter of local meats, cheeses, pickles, olives and breads - the best foods the region has to offer. A wine tasting is included, enabling you to purchase your favourite wine to compliment the lunch. Sit back and relax, taking in the ambience and views of your surroundings while indulging in delicious food and premium wines.
Fourth stop is at Langmeil Estate, who provide a tour of their 160 year old Shiraz vineyards (some of the oldest in the world) and includes the estates historic buildings, culminating in a tasting of fine wines from the region.
Final stop is Chateau Tanunda. This winery offers a structured tasting of their fine range of wines in one of Australia’s oldest historic winery buildings. Time permitting; there may also be an opportunity for a tour of their wine making area and an opportunity for a barrel tasting (at the winery’s discretion). There may also be a chance to sample wines from some of the Barossa’s small winemakers (when present).
After your full day of wine tasting, you’ll be returned to the Adelaide CBD at around 5.30pm.
