Barossa Gourmet Food and Wine Driven Tour for 2

This Barossa Gourmet Food & Wine Tour for 2 is a fantastic way to experience the Barossa Valley in a relaxed fashion. A local and friendly guide will drive you and one other in either a Chrysler Voyager or Holden Statesman for a full-day of chauffeured sampling.

The tour begins at Penfolds, where the two of you are welcome to sample local cheeses as you are educated on the finer points of creating a blend. You'll then be encouraged to blend your own specialty mix from mourvedre, grenache, and shiraz. Prove your own taste is the most refined by taking home a bottle of your blend, personally labelled! We really have thought of everything.

Next you'll journey to Angas Park Fruits where you're invited to sample Australia's finest sun-dried fruits, nuts, chocolate and confectionery. You'll witness the Barossa's best point of view from Mengler's Hill Lookout before moving on to the renowned Kaesler Vineyards & Winery. Sample the intense flavours of their estate grown range.

The Kaesler property also holds more for its visitors - an impressive three-course lunch, expertly prepared from the best South Australian produce. From there you'll drive to Peter Lehmann Wines, where you will be introduced to a private tasting of super premium and cellar door only wines. Trundle along to Maggie Beer's famous Farmshp, where the fruits of the famous connoisseur's career are exemplified - where you will be introduced to and encouraged to sample pate, jams, sauces and pastes while enjoying a coffee and chocolate.

One more valuable stop: Two Hands Wines, one of the Barossa's best wineries, where they endeavour to develop Australia's best shiraz from the finest selections. Learn from the masters the finer points of tastes and what is involved in the hunt for the perfect shiraz.
