Rated 1 out of 5 by very disappointing Very disappointed with the experience. To start with the restaurant was under renovation and they didn’t let us know so it was hard to find. Then they were using power tools during lunch so you couldn’t have a conversation. I am pregnant and they were unwilling to change the seafood option (which I couldn’t eat) to a salad. My husband ordered his steak medium and it came out well done. Overall I would not be recommending red balloon or this restaurant. For $150 I was expecting something memorable. 28 April 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by It was so easy to redeem our voucher. The whole experience was sensational. . It was sensational. The food was delicious and the staff were amazing. A perfect location for a perfect meal. We have travelled a lot around the world, dinned at many locations. However this is certainly up there with the best. We will be going back for our 20th anniversary. 18 April 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Exceptional! This was a gift from our daughter and I must say it exceeded our expectations in every possible way. The meal was unbelievable - both in taste and quantity and the staff were amazing, couldn't do enough to ensure a pleasurable dining experience. This restaurant is now very high on our favourite list and we will certainly be visiting it again when next in Sydney. 17 April 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Huge amount of Food for two! Bring your appetite! The food on the whole was good - but way too much for two people - eg both salad and vegies came with the large mains when just one (or a choice would have been fine) - similarly with the dessert tasting platter - it wasn't little "tastes" but rather three full desserts on the plate with biscuits as well so again waaaaay too much for two people - and I just hate wasting good food but we were literally dying from eating so much already. (and I am a starving pregnant lady who is eating a lot at the mo!) The atmosphere is sedate and relaxed and the service a bit hit and miss (we had about five different staff serve us -all seemed to be tourists/backpackers) but all friendly enough. Rated 5 out of 5 by WOW great food This restaurant certainly gives Red Balloon great representation. All the staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the experience. The food was wonderfully cooked and to each individuals taste. The service was quick and we were never kept waiting. No request was too hard all very accommodating. Will certainly be recommending this experience. 7 April 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by a very enjoyable experience We were treated like VIPs from the moment we arrived. The staff were very attentive. The food was not only of great quality it was well presented. We were given the best seats in the restaurant. Would highly recommend the steak and lobster combination. 6 April 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Definitely indulged They did everything right! Suggested a dining time that matched the sunset over Darling Harbour. Gave us a special table for two with a great view of the water and special attention by waiting staff. Accommodated a change to their big entree (from oysters to calamari). Served some very tender medium rare steak with lovely half lobsters. Finished with some sweet deserts. We happily bought a second wine before leaving full and thoroughly indulged. A great birthday gift from my kids. 5 April 2013
