Make your way to the relaxing Sunshine Coast hinterland, where you will escape the hustle and bustle of every day life. Enjoy the slower pace and be swept away by the beauty of lush green rolling hills, majestic Glass House Mountains and breath-taking coastal views.
Situated in the scenic hinterland of the Sunshine Coast, we have an abundance of quality produce at our fingertips and source ingredients locally wherever possible. All our deliveries are daily, which allows us to prepare only the freshest produce available for you.
Upon arrival, you and a friend will be escorted to one of our VIP tables where your seafood feast awaits. After a leisurely review of our comprehensive wine list, you’ll select your wine of the moment, hear the refreshing sound of the bottle being opened, and remind yourself how good it is to stop and smell the roses.
Delivered to your table is our signature dish, the Seafood Platter for two. Complete with fresh chilled and hot cooked seafood, including fresh moreton bay bugs, natural coffin bay oysters, smoked salmon, marinated mussels, fresh prawns, salt and pepper scallops, coconut crusted prawns, crab and coriander spring rolls, tempura barramundi and tender calamari served with a selection of fresh tropical fruits and home made dipping sauces.
PLEASE NOTE: Wine, beverages, additional food and decadent desserts are not included in this experience. They are an additional cost payable on the day. We are a fully-licensed restaurant and stock a great selection of Australian and imported wines.
This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

Maleny, Queensland – approximately 30 minutes west of Caloundra.
Session Length
We are open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner throughout the year. Please note that the weekends are particularly busy and tables should be booked well in advance.

Mark and I found our RedBalloon experience at the Restaraunt in Maleny very enjoyable. Very ample amounts of seafood - simply delicious , the service was superb and the atmosphere was truly wonderful. We really couldn't fault a thing about the experience. Thank you very much we will be revisiting.

Considering we were travelling (motorhome) it was all conducted by phone to RedBalloon, who, once they became aware that we were unable to print the necessary paperwork via the WWW, they handled it all most expeditiously. From the time we made the initial phone call to being advised of the voucher/receipt number was less than 10 minutes. Fantastic service, well done.

Fantastic value, beautiful setting and extremely good service. The seafood is brought out in stages so the hot portions don't need to be eaten first as with a lot of seafood platters at other restaurant. Very friendly, helpful staff. Great value for money - would definitely recommend trying.

My husband and I truly agree that this dining experience was the BEST that either of us have ever enjoyed. The staff were truly accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable. The food was absolutely amazing! The presentation of each platter on our table was that of 5 star cuisine. The taste of each dish is going to be memorable for us! We won't forget this meal! We had a lovely lunch, perfect day and the staff were wonderful. We added a third person (my 13 year old daughter) and there was more than enough food for everyone. The calamari was a huge hit amongst all of us as was the seafood chowder and the palate cleanser - so nice to see something different rather than the usual sorbet! I would highly recommend The Terrace.

A lovely restaurant with impeccable service, the freshest of seafood and beautiful views. We sat at the open windows, there was a bit of noise from the traffic passing us by, but it did not bother us as the rest of the experience was excellent.

The service was great and the waiters friendly,and we were greeted by the owner at the door by name, so he has points for that. I really would like a RedBalloon experience that I did not have to drive so far for,but I guess as it was a gift from my son, and no-one really needs a reason to go to Maleny as it is so beautiful, the seafood indulgence was definitely a bonus. Great experience.

Every thing was great about the visit from the time we arrived to when we left. The food was great and plentiful (we could not finish our meal there was so much), The waitress ( Chris I think ) greeted us warmly and was charming throughout the meal, and had excellent product knowledge of the wines and food. The afternoon was memorable.

We really loved our RedBalloon experience. The service from our Red Balloon customer service person - she was lovely. We did experience a couple of internet hiccups however RedBalloon sorted it. And the meal was delightful with so much effort applied to ensuring our enjoyment. We will definitely return to both the restaurant and RedBalloon. Thank you. It was a special evening for us.

This was truly a seafood experience and we were certainly treated like VIPs. No great platter dumped on the table but a journey of sorts through the courses. Really wonderful. Thoughtful experience. I highly recommend.

The hosts were very co-operative and allowed us to have our celebratory lunch on Easter Sunday and we were able to invite others to join us. The food was delicious, abundant and promptly served by a very polite and attentive waiter on a busy day.

My husband and I had the Seafood Feast for Two which was absolutely fabulous. The presentation, the taste and the right amount of time between each coarse was spot on. From the time we arrived at the at the Restaurant we felt very special. They were expecting us gave us the best table and the service was excellent. The Seafood Feast was also excellent and served over a long period so you could really enjoy each course. We were never rushed and made to feel we should just sit back and enjoy our meal and time. Overall, loved it and would recommend it to anyone. Very happy, and felt very spoilt.
