Here’s your chance to learn how to cook authentic Thai Food! This Thai cooking class is perfect for anyone wanting to learn the secrets to preparing genuine Thai cuisine. With a focus on hands-on cooking and under the watchful eye of your Master Chef, you’ll be preparing delicious dishes to impress!

On arrival you will be welcomed by Master Chef Chaloem. He will invite you into his kitchen, give you instructions on how to use the equipment, and demonstrate all the wonderful fresh ingredients that you will use to create your delicious Thai dishes.

Throughout the cooking class, you will learn how to source these ingredients for yourself, and discover first hand from Chaloem, some of his best kept secrets passed on to him by his family who lives in Loei, a beautiful mountainous Province in Issan.

Dazzle your friends and family with your ability to produce authentic and delicious dishes from Thailand with this 100% hands-on cooking class.

Following a few simple demonstrations, you will commence preparing your Thai dishes, one at a time under his watchful eye and gentle instructions.

During this class, you will prepare two entrees and three main course dishes.

On completion of his class, you are welcome to either take home your creations or share them as a group with a complementary wine or beverage of your choice.

Thai tea and Iced water will be available during the class.

You will also receive recipes for each of the dishes you prepared during the class and a lovely Certificate signed by Chaloem himself.

This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

Venue:

Alphington, Victoria – approximately 15 minutes north-east of the Melbourne CBD.

Session Length

Classes are held from; Wednesday-Thursday from 9:45am and finish around 1:00pm. Friday-Sunday from 8:45am and finish around 12:00pm. We recommend booking as far as possible in advance to secure your preferred date.

There are no prerequisites for any of our Thai Cooking Classes prior to participating in the class. Bookings are essential and subject to availability.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for one person. Enjoy the luxury of a cooking class with a maximum of only 6 guests, ensuring you of personalised individual attention from Chaloem and his assistant. For a party 3 guests or more, Chaloem will be delighted to accommodate you on any other day.

Spectators:

This experience is not suitable for spectators

Rated 5 out of 5 by Thai favourites Cooking Course I attended the Thai Favourites cooking class and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a Xmas present from my children. We made five dishes which were all authentic Thai dishes. They were simple to prepare and very flavoursome. I really enjoyed learning to balance the sweet, salty, sour and spicy elements of Thai cooking and understanding more about traditional Thai ingredients. We got to prepare and cook all the dishes. I will certainly make the dishes at home as once the ingredients were prepared they only took a few minutes to cook. Rattana was a great teacher, very informative and generous in sharing her knowledge of Thai cooking. I'd recommend this course to anyone who loves to cook authentic dishes. 6 May 2013

All questions were given practical no nonsense answers and everyone thoroughly enjoyed sampling the days work. No frills, down to earth, honest to goodness Thai cooking. Fantastic. 9 April 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome day. I love cooking, and hubby surprised me for christmas with this thai cooking class. It was fantastic. I learnt a lot and have taken away the best experience ever. The cooking school is held at the restaurants kitchen, so you get to work in a professional kitchen and with a great chef. You have your own work station as well. At the end you get to take it home. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this experience. 16 March 2013

You can recommend this experience with a great deal of confidence. The proprietors are extremely welcoming and the learning would be suitable for a beginner or a well developed cook. Not at all intimidating yet it does test your skills and efficiency. I have already obtained expressions of interest from family and friends who want to do the course. 5 March 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Thoroughly enjoyed it We were greeted by a friendly face and offered a coffee. The kitchen was spotless. Challoem was rather quiet but was smiling and relaxed by the end. We watched him make the dishes and explain what everything was and then we made our own. After the cooking we ate the curry puffs we had made, we were given plastic containers to take the rest of our cooking home. That night we had a Thai banquette which was delicious. 19 January 2013
