Knives are the chef’s most prized asset and it should be no different in your home kitchen. It’s imperative to understand how to handle these pieces of equipment to take your culinary prowess to the next level!

Let the professionals teach you these techniques so, with a bit of practice you can chop like an expert chef!

Activity Highlights:

  • Learn methods taught to real life trainee chefs and become skilled in the handling of knives
  • Learn which knife to use for which job in the kitchen
  • Care of knives and other sharp equipment including mandolins
  • Enjoy our modern and comfortable kitchen with its state of the art equipment
  • Create Spirit House Ginger Poached Chicken Salad with Thai Spiced Rice and Cardamom and Orange Blossom Sweet Citrus Salad with Vanilla Ice Cream and eat in class
  • Socialise with other participants
  • BYO wine or beer – we provide everything else!

10 minutes from Fremantle and 15 minutes from Perth on south side of river, just off Canning Highway

Session Length

Classes run on Weeknights 6.15pm start for 2 ½ to 3 hours and on Saturdays 10.00am start 2 ½ to 3 hours. The experience runs throughout the year on pre-scheduled dates.
