Rated 4 out of 5 by fun experience Tutor passed on many very useful cooking and preparation tips. All ingredients were fresh and unprocessed and she made the experience fun. Food cooked was tasty. 15 May 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great experience Myself and husband thoroughly enjoyed the night. The atmosphere was great and Mel the Chef was engaging and loved her constant tips. If you don't come home learning anything from this course, I would be surprised. I have been cooking for years and I learnt about edible flowers we can grow in our own garden that add so much colour and texture to our foods. I'm heading out tomorrow to get some to grow. LOVED IT and will be going back. 13 April 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by We both had a great night. Melanie has a great leadership style. She managed to set up a relaxed fun learning atmosphere where everyone participated and was eager to learn. With everyone doing something different it could have been a shambles, but it all worked out well, and the food was excellent, especially with a glass of wine. Ken and Lorna 5 April 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not much actual cooking I was a bit disappointed as I was given this voucher as a gift to learn thai basil and chilli chicken, only to be told when I arrived that we'd be making duck (most of the menu was different in fact). We also didn't get a chance to make the ice cream, as that was premade...so there wasn't a lot of cooking, mostly preparations. The one curry we made was used in all courses so there wasn't a lot of variety. I would agree that there wasn't really much individual bench space and there isn't any separate cooking areas. 4 April 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by A good learning experience I would have liked an individual bench space and more hands on cooking of a recipe. 7 March 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by I thoroughly enjoyed this cooking experience. A very friendly atmosphere was provided. Many useful, practical tips were given for the home cook. I would definitely use this provider again. 25 February 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great experience. Not only was the cooking class great but the little hints given by Brendan (the chef) during the night were invaluable. 14 February 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Laughter and learning - and scrumptious food! We laughed a lot, and we learned a lot. And at the end, we had a delicious meal. Not only did we learn how to cook fragrant beef spring rolls, yellow curry chicken, and a memorable mango, coconut and lime brulee icecream - that I have made again at home and which has received many compliments, but also we learned both traditional and modern ways to make a curry paste, made our own vastly superior sweet chilli sauce, did a bit of work on our knife skills, and were given some good culinary tips. A great three hours! 4 February 2013
