Do you have a passion and taste for duck and want to learn more? Let the chef guide you step by step on how to cook mouth watering duck dishes at home.

Do you love Duck but don't know where to begin your Duck cooking journey? We take the mystery out of cooking duck for you!

See how easy it is to cook duck in many different ways, as well as some sauces and accompaniments. With the teaching of knife techniques to assist in boning and portioning birds, you'll be well equipped to provide these gourmet dishes at home too. We'll even show you how to cook the world's best roast potatoes with duck fat!

We let you be the judge, by dining at the “chef’s round table” on all of the dishes that you have created on the day, with a lovely glass of wine of course!

Venue:

The cooking school is a short 5-10 minute walk from Port Melbourne.

Session Length

This experience lasts for 3.5 hours and is available most Saturdays and one to two weekday dates per week please check availability for full dates available. Classes usually start from 10am, no afternoon classes available.

    Had an awesome day. Myself and my brother decided to buy our mum the experience and she had a great time with us both! I loved the hands on nature of the experience and the dishes we cooked were fantastic. It was great to sit down together with everyone at the end and share the food we had all cooked. The tutor Wendy was great too and offered professional but down-to-earth instruction without us ever feeling intimidated. Would definitely recommend to others.

    Tell people to bring an esky and ice with them so they can buy lots of your lovely ducks! Would definitely have bought more ducks if I could have!! Had a great day - one of the best presents I've ever been given.

    We had a fantastic afternoon learning how to cut up and cook a duck. Wendy was our Chef and she was supported by Rhonda and what a terriffic pair they were, they made the day fun as well as educational. And the food we cooked was sensational, we did a roast duck, duck ragout on home made pasta (using duck eggs), peking duck pancakes, breasts in a cherry sauce, 2 fabulous salads and a desert from heaven. If my wife & I had been out fine dining then we would have paid as much for our experience an...

    I had a fantastic afternoon and gained great knowledge on cooking ducks. I repeated it the next night for 8 friends and it was just like our class, I was thrilled it came out so well. I have only cooked at home and to work in a commercial kitchen was a great experience for me. I have also found a great location to buy duck at a good price.
