A must for all beer lovers - an experience taking you to the finest brewer of boutique beers, Redoak. Sit back and listen to the Beer Sommelier and team while they take you on a 2.5 hr beer journey, learn about tasting, beer and food matching, the importance of glassware and the brewing process.

On the day of your beer tasting class, you will be welcomed by the staff and offered a drink on arrival to be enjoyed at the Bar.

You will then take a seat in the Beer Class room to be joined by a Beer Sommelier and the Redoak team. The time consists of hearing about Beer while the staff present you with different beers complimented with small entrée size food matchings.

Sit back and enjoy two and a half hours of eating and drinking Redoak delights.

  • Look at a brief history of beer around the world and in Australia
  • Explore the different brewing techniques
  • Understand the brewing process and what makes a beer
  • Learn about various beer styles from around the world
  • Learn how to better enjoy your beer by being aware of its style, quality, glassware, environment and what it is eaten with
  • Experience first hand the pleasure of matching beer and food perfectly thereby developing your palate and appreciation of boutique premium beer and fine food
  • Take home two quality key rings to remember the experience (exclusive to RedBalloon customers only).

    The whole experience was thoroughly enjoyable. The staff were extremely helpfully and knowledgable on both the food and beers. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who enjoys good food, good beer and don't mind learning a thing or two about beer!

    Very well organised and run. The staff knew their history and product back to front and explained each beer's qualities as you experienced them. Just be sure to not eat before coming you will leave full. Fantastic!

    The Boutique Beer Tasting Session was a fantastic gift, however, make sure you're only giving it someone who really enjoys their beer. I was given this as a Christmas present, and not being a beer drinker really dampened the experience for me as I didn't really enjoy the drinks being presented. My boyfriend, however, who loves his beer, really enjoyed the drinks. The food was fantastic also.
