Imagine the excitement of flying off to an unknown destination for two nights. Where you go is a mystery, what you do when you get there is entirely up to you. Get ready to be surprised!

Mystery flights are the best way to travel, hassle-free! You don’t have to choose where to go and you have the thrill of not knowing until you get there. You choose your travel date (weekday or weekend), and your flight times are chosen with one of the major airlines (Virgin Blue, Jetstar or Qantas). You will receive your itinerary 2-3 days prior to departure. Your transfers are pre-arranged at your destination and you have been booked into a 4star hotel! All you have to do is have fun when you get there!

Mystery flights depart from the major airports in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. With your 2 night package stay, you will fly to one of 18 possible destinations which includes accommodation and transfers. Each destination offers its own attractions and activities. While you will be provided with some tourist information regarding your destination in your itinerary, you are under no obligation to do or visit anything particular. What you choose to do is entirely up to you.

City pairing is dependant of current flight schedules and length of time at destination.
You are able to nominate one destination you do not wish to be flown to, and for repeat travellers we make every effort not to send you to the same place twice.
Possible destinations: Adelaide, Cairns, Coffs Harbour, Hobart, Melbourne, Townsville, Ballina/Byron Bay, Capricorn Coast, Fraser Coast, Launceston, Sunshine Coast, Whitsunday Coast, Brisbane, Canberra, Gold Coast, Mackay, Newcastle/Hunter Valley, Sydney.

Please note: While every effort is made to accommodate all requested dates, due to the popularity of this experience it is recommended that your requested travel dates be at least 4 - 6 weeks in advance.

IMPORTANT: 7kg of carry on baggage is included. Check-in baggage is not permitted on this package.

This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

Session Length

This experience is for 2 nights. Your flight is a 'mystery' and will depart at anytime from 5am on your chosen date. Your return flight will be between 12pm and 10pm. Available all year round, subject to availability with 14 days notice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gcoops Fantastic experience The mystery flight was well organised, help was provided whenever it was required and all documents and details arrived on the scheduled dates. On arrival at our detination on the Gold Coast we were met and conveyed by minibus to oiur accomocdation.The accomodation was first class and the staff were very courteous and helpful. I found the experience very enjoyable and would certainly recommend it to others. 27 April 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by sheri We had a great time Our mystery flight started off badly as the airport written on our itinerary was incorrect, after discussion with the 'mystery flight' team and rearranging our flight, we arrived in QLD and had a wonderful time, as the 'mystery flight' team made an error they compensated us with $100 credit to our hotel account, which meant we were able to enjoy room service and breakfast which was nice. 7 April 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Haych Great experience - everything taken care of! I took my 15 year old daughter and we ended up in fabulous Queensland. Red Balloon & Mystery flight staff were fantastic - even got a phone call in the morning to check if everything was OK with flights as some issues were happening elsewhere! We had a wonderful time - the hotel was fine, the weather was great, transfers were on time - what more can you ask! My only complaint is that it wasn't long enough. Rated 3 out of 5 by japblah Started with a stutter but ended too soon. To be honest, I wasn't impressed having to fly dislocated from my gorgeous partner on the way to our destination. I stood in the check-in line for an age but no go. Thankfully a short flight. Location of the hotel was unbeatable, but a premum room would have been nice. Having said that we stepped out of our hotel and the city was ours. All good in the end. 5 March 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by NJTocs Underwhelmed We were very excited for our mystery flight as it was a gift from many friends as an engagement present. We notified Red Balloon that this was for a special occasion (though we are under no illusion that this gift is always purchased for a special occasion), however we were disappointed to find that we - 28 year olds - were being sent to Coolangatta. The home of old people holidays. Where there is nothing to do. The accommodation was nice, but not what we expected from the website. We were located on the first floor in a room that had not been renovated in quite some time and did not have a view (other than of the aforementioned old people swimming in the pool). We would have expected that it would have been taken into consideration that it was a gift for young people, and was for an engagement. Unfortunately we felt that this was not taken into consideration and were very disappointed with our experience. 5 March 2013
