Bamurru Plains is a wild, yet utterly comfortable getaway. The gourmet dinners and moonlight wines are replaced each morning by a colourful sunrise and a full day's adventure. With everything included and only small group numbers on each amazing activity, these two nights are unique, exotic - unforgettable!

Bamurru Plains is an extraordinary bush location on the edge of Kakadu in Australia's Northern Territory. Modelled off some of Africa’s best safari camps, guests are exposed to the sights and sounds of this spectacular environment in style and exclusivity. The camp is situated on the edge of the Mary River delta floodplains, amidst a profusion of birdlife and wildlife. A team of expert guides is on hand to show you the country with a variety of activities hosted by the camp.

You'll skim across floodplains, explore flooded paperbark forests by airboat; cruise rivers in search of crocodiles; take an open-top safari drives and a guided bush walk. It's all part of the package.

Within the 'campsite', the wet edge pool and deck is a great spot to sit back with a cool drink and let the wildlife come to you. Soft touches surprise you at every turn in this remote bush location, and the understated luxury is in tune with its environment. Come along and make the transition yourself - from city living to a wilderness utopia.

Session Length

This is a two night getaway, with check in from 2pm on the first day and a lazy 11am check out on the last day. This experience runs Feb - Oct only. The camp closes each year from 1st November – 31st January inclusive.

Guidelines:

The minimum age is 8. Child rates can be negotiated for young people 8-16 years old.

Numbers:

There is a maximum 18 guests at the camp - very exclusive - and only up to 6 people on each activity.

Weather:

This experience is not affected by weather - it just doesn't run in the wet season.

Other Info:

Bamurru Plains is one of the few places in Australia with huge numbers of wildlife readily visible all day.
