Great Ocean Road Skydiving combines the unsurpassed rush of 220kph freefall with spectacular ocean views. The plane opens to the wind and you're prepared to dive with adrenalin pumping! Everyone who does skydiving says it's the best thing they've ever done - join the club!

We begin the day with a briefing with your tandem sky diving instructor. This includes what to expect and what you will see on the plane flight to height, in freefall, under canopy and upon landing. The briefing takes approximately 15 minutes.

Our tandem jump masters have completed 1000's of jumps and are members of the Australian Parachute Federation.

Once the briefing is over, it will be time to gear up in preparation for your sky diving experience. You will be given a jumpsuit and your instructor will fit you into a harness. You will walk out to the plane and there you will conduct your practise exits. Once all the ground preparation has been completed, it is time to get in the plane and get ready for take-off! You can expect to jump from a height of 10,000ft.

As we leave the airfield, you will be treated to a scenic tour of The Great Ocean Road.

Once we reach height, it will be time to prepare yourself for the jump. The door opens and as you leave the plane, you and your tandem master will accelerate through the air reaching terminal velocity - 220km/h. Freefall feels like riding a cushion of air similar to riding a big wave. In freefall, your senses will be able to take in stunning views as far as the eye can see. Then finally it's time to pull your parachute open.

From the loud rushing of air that you hear all around you, the parachute ride is very different as you sail around the sky, gliding.

The landing is easy, just lift your legs. The parachute will glide and you will eventually put your feet down to land.

Session Length

We operate all year round. We recommend that you book at least one week in advance. All bookings are subject to availability. Please allow approximately 3 hours for the experience. This includes briefing, scenic flight, freefall, parachute ride and de-brief.

Guidelines:

No experience is required. You must be at least 14 years of age to skydive and a maximum of 100kg. You should have a basic level of fitness. We can cater for disabled participants – please enquire at the time of booking (conditions apply). To participate in the wine tasting you must be at least 18.

Numbers:

Your tandem skydive will be with your instructor. There may be up to 20 people attending the safety briefing at any one time.

Spectators:

Spectators are welcome on the day. They will be able to watch the briefing, gear up and take-off. They will also be able to see you exit the aircraft and land approximately 10 metres from the observation area.

Weather:

This experience is affected by the weather. In the case of poor weather conditions, we will either delay your jump or it may be necessary to cancel your skydive and reschedule for a later date. Rain, wind and cloud are factors that can delay skydiving.
