You'll never forget a full day's Scenic Flight & Boat Trip! Visit islands cut off from civilisation; see rare wildlife and walk through pristine rainforest. See what our gorgeous country has to offer. Flying is the ultimate adventure, boating is great fun and Tasmania is the final frontier!
Your scenic flight soars you over the City of Hobart, past the Wellington Ranges to the fertile Huon Valley and then on to the Hartz Mountain National Park.
Once past the Picton Valley, you enter the South West World Heritage National Park, a Wold Heritage listed wilderness over 4,500sq kms in size, where you will witness some of the world renowned icons of Tasmania's pristine wilderness such as amazing Federation Peak and the rugged Western Arthur Range. After crossing Australia's the precious marine reserve, Bathurst Harbour, you will land at Melaleuca, deep in the heart of Tasmania's South West Wilderness.
Next, take a speed boat onto Bathurst Harbour, visiting Clayton's Cove for a walk in the rainforest. After morning tea, visit the untouched Celery Top Islands. These Heritage significant islands have been cut off since the end of the last ice age.
By this time you will be completely exhilarated, so it's time to unwind over lunch. Enjoy some of Tasmania's renowned cuisine in a spectacular rainforest atmosphere.
During the afternoon, you'll visit an amazing bird sanctuary where with any luck, you will catch sight of the endangered Orange-Bellied Parrots. It is estimated that only two hundred of these rare birds remain in the wild. We also take a stroll through the garden of the late Deny King, a famous bushman and explorer of Tasmania's South West, visit his gallery and see his home.
Towards the end of your spectacular and adventurous day, take your flight back to Hobart via the coastal route, including flight over Cox Bight, past the Ironbound Range, Precipitous Bluff, South East Cape (the southern most tip of Australia) and then we fly up the D'Entrecasteaux Channel and past Bruny Island back to Cambridge.
