Tandem Hangliding is truly amazing, and just south of Sydney! Enjoy the completely raw flying experience off one of Australia's best renowned hang gliding spots. Steer it yourself and land on the beach. Glide up to 2000ft and get a view of the world you never thought possible!

Your tandem hang-gliding experience begins when you meet with your pilot at our historic flying site. This is a world-renowned area for hang-gliding.

You will be given a 15-minute briefing and then take another 15 minutes to get set for the flight.

Then it’s time for launch! During launch you will be side-by-side with your pilot. You will take off from approximately 700ft and glide to heights between 1000ft and 2000ft, depending on the weather. What a way to see the world!

The coastal mountain range of the Royal National Park offers world-class flying and the scenic views from a cockpit-free aircraft are unmatched! During your 25-minute flight you will look down upon the sparkling coastline and stunning natural environment. You will have the opportunity to spot marine-life while quietly cruising in the sky above.

Hang-gliding makes for a peaceful aerial journey. However towards the end of your flight your pilot will give you the opportunity to up the excitement with some exciting turns and acceleration of speed! You will even be given the chance to take the controls during the flight and have a go at flying the hand-glider yourself!

Landing is possibly the most exhilarating part of a hang-gliding journey. At the conclusion of your flight you will make a safe landing on the beach. Then you will spend approximately 30 minutes packing up, relaxing and having a chat with your pilot. Come and experience true freedom with a hang-gliding flight over the stunning coast of NSW!

This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

Venue:

This experience takes place half way between Sydney and Wollongong, NSW – approximately 60 minutes south of the Sydney CBD.

Session Length

This experience is available on weekdays, weather permitting, and is subject to availability. We also have the same experience available for a weekend at a slightly higher cost. The duration of your flight will be approximately 25 minutes. Please allow at least 90 minute for the entire experience.

Guidelines:

This experience is open to people of all ages. There is a maximum weight limit of 100kg.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for one person. We can take group bookings for up to 10 people, give us a call if that's easier for you. You will be one-on-one with your pilot during your flight (i.e. tandem).

Spectators:

Spectators are welcome free of charge and will get a great view from our lookout/take-off point. The area has toilets, a coffee/drinks vendor and a grassy picnic point.

Weather:

This experience is weather dependent. In the case of poor weather conditions we may need to reschedule your experience for a later date. You should call at 8am on the morning of your flight to confirm your booking.

Other Info:

You will be required to sign a waiver on the day, prior to participating in this experience. Your tandem pilot and aerial guide is a professional hang-gliding champion. High-quality photos and DVDs are available for purchase, payable on the day.
