During this premium gliding flight you’ll spend 45 minutes soaring above the beautiful Camden Valley and surrounds. From the silence of the glider you’ll look down upon the Blue Mountains, Lake Burragorang and other greater Sydney wonders. Gliding is a fun way to see the world from far, far above!

Your gliding experience begins with a short safety and operational briefing from your pilot. This will cover the operation of the glider and the phases of your flight. Your pilot will also answer any questions that you might have.

Sit side by side with the pilot in the state-of-the-art self-launching gliders. Self-launching is as opposed to other gliders, which need to be towed into the air by other aircraft.

The sights from the glider are spectacular and breathtaking. View the expansive Camden Valley, only visible from your premium position. You'll soar over the rugged cliffs and the stunning valleys of the Blue Mountains. See the beautiful Lake Burragorang and so much more, including like the Wollondilly River as it snakes its way through Australia’s unique bushland. This gliding flight is the perfect opportunity to take some wonderful photographs to prove you did something so amazing!

When your instructor switches off the engine you will be gliding in amazing serenity for that height.

Please Note:The duration of your flight is approximately 45 minutes; however this may vary, depending on the weather conditions. It is essential that you call at 9am on the morning of your flight to confirm that the weather is suitable and that we are operating. The duty instructor will arrange a mutually convenient time with you then or rebook if the weather is not suitable.

This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

Venue:

Camden Airport, NSW – approximately 50km south-west of the Sydney CBD.

Session Length

This experience is available on weekends. Bookings are essential and are subject to availability and weather conditions. The duration of your flight will be approximately 45 minutes. Depending on weather conditions, the time and duration of your flight may change.

Guidelines:

You must be over 12 years of age to participate in this experience. If you are under 18 years of age you must have a parent or guardian sign for you on the day. There is also a maximum weight limit of 100kg per person. No prior gliding experience is necessary.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for one person. You will be one-on-one with your instructor during your flight.

Spectators:

Spectators are welcome and will be able to watch the take off, landing and part of the flight from our mobile operations centre. There is seating at the operations centre and toilets and refreshments are available nearby.

Weather:

Gliding is affected by the weather and your flight may be rescheduled or curtailed if the conditions are unsuitable. It is therefore difficult to schedule an exact time for your flight and it is essential that you call at 9am on the morning of your flight to confirm your flight time.

Other Info:

All our aircraft are maintained to the highest standards and we pride ourselves on 35 years of safe flying. Our pilots are fully qualified instructors or charter pilots. You will need to sign a waiver on the day, prior to flying. Remember to bring your camera!

    The people at the airport were very friendly and the glider was in a very good condition. The hands on part was exciting & fun (;-). In summary I can highly recommend the Premium Gliding Air Experience Flight.
