Light Aircraft Training Flight
Ever wanted to take the controls of an aeroplane and fly it yourself? Wondered what it feels like to fly, or how an aircraft flies? This is the ultimate choice for you! In as little as 1 hour, you can learn to fly an aeroplane and for the first time in your life, you can be in control!
On arrival, an instructor will brief you about how to control an aeroplane, then show you how to do a pre-flight inspection of the aircrarft, before boarding the dual-control aeroplane to start up.
After taking off from Parafield Airport, you will climb to 1500ft and track northwest to the Parafield training area. Once established in the training area, your instructor will show you how each control works and give you complete control to practice flying the aircraft.
You will then be able to fly the aircraft back to Parafield, where the instructor will take over to land.
This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.
Venue:
Departs from Parafield Airport, Parafield, South Australia. 18km from the CBD.
Session Length
15 minutes ground briefing and preparation. Flight time of approximately 50 minutes. This experience is available in daylight hours, 7 days a week.
Guidelines:
Maximum passenger weight 100kg - Minimum age 15 years.
Numbers:
1 participant and an instructor.
Spectators:
The departure can be viewed from the viewing benches at the front of the flying school building.
Weather:
Weather may affect this experience if there is a cloud base lower than 2000 ft and less than 5km visibility. If this is the case your experience will be re-scheduled for a later date.

I received this as a gift from my wonderful girlfriend and what an awesome experience it was! I was blown away by how much the instructor allowed me to control the plane; from taxiing and takeoff, to lining up the runway and landing. He was keen to let me fly as much as i wanted to, whilst showing me the correct way to turn, ascend and descent. I kinda stuffed up of of the turns, but was impressed with how calm and collected he was as he quickly corrected it to regain straight and steady flight...I received this as a gift from my wonderful girlfriend and what an awesome experience it was!
