Get behind the controls of the helicopter as you take to the skies for breathtaking views from the pilots seat. Feel the adrenaline rush when you take control of your helicopter and feel what it is like to fly! This experience includes 30 min instructional briefing followed by a 30 min flight.

Main Description

Become the ‘pilot’ and truly experience the thrill of flight. Arrive to the training school to be greeted by friendly experienced staff and participate in a pre flight briefing. Prepare your self to then enter the helicopter to depart controlled airspace with your instructor. After a quick departure you will be asked to take hold of the controls and fly for yourself! Be amazed at how the helicopter can fly vertical, backwards and sideways with complete control. Listen to the other pilots on the radio and truly feel like a commercial pilot. Your instructor will demonstrate low level and other techniques during your flight. And if you are up for it, you can experience a simulated engine failure!!

At the end of the experience you you will receive an certificate and a video of your flight will be uploaded onto our YouTube channel so your friends can see you in action! The You Fly experience is a perfect Birthday treat that will never be forgotten.

Venue:

Located at Archerfield Airport 20 min drive from the Brisbane CBD

Session Length

30 Min preflight briefing, 30 Min Flight. Available 7 days a week from 7.30am to 2.00pm.

Guidelines:

Max weight is 105kg, minimum age is 16 years. No persons with heart conditions or other serious ailments. No pregnant women.

Numbers:

Voucher is valid for one person, you will be one on one with your profesional flight instructor.

Weather:

All flights are subject to weather and can be rescheduled for other times.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Wow! Add this to your bucket list. An incredible experience and loads of fun. Would be very happy to do this again. After 30 minutes of training and covering the safety aspects the adventure began. We took off and when we were at a safe altitude I took control of the helicopter and we flew across Brisbane to the coast. All too soon it was time to return. My instructor/pilot took control of the helicopter for the landing and it was a safe and gentle end to a magnificent trip. A must do experience. 30 April 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by With time I could fly a helicopter!!! Before the flight I decided to extend the flight time and range (to Redland Bay). It was worth the money!! I managed to relax in the flight back to enjoy the sensation of the agility of the helicopter and amazing scenery. A worthwhile experience. 19 March 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Disappointing. I agreed to pay an additional $59 for an extra 15 mins of flying. It was apparent that they were running behind and my flight finished 10mins short of what I paid. Flight was good but overall could have been managed better. 6 February 2013

The staff at V2 Helicopters were very good, professional & very patient with a 1st time pilot. Whilst in the air very patient when learning to fly the chopper. It was an awesome experience and would highly recommend not only the company but the experience.
