Taking a flying lesson over Caloundra! This complete half hour introductory flight lets you take control of the Texan TC550, a super sporty light aircraft. With superb visibility and comfort, your views will stretch right down the coast to the hinterland down to an awesome 500ft low level rush!
Activity Highlights

- You will actually be in control of the aircraft.
- Let the instructor take over for an exhilarating low-level flight down Australia’s most beautiful stretch of coastline.
Your flight will start with you getting to know your aircraft. After your briefing (which doesn't count towards your flight time) your instructor will take you through the pre-flight inspection of the aircraft before you're strapped into the co-pilot's seat.
Listen carefully as your instructor talks you through start up and the rules and technique in taxiing. He'll guide the craft into the sky and the next thing you know you're in the sky for the unmistakeable, irreplaceable experience of flying!
When up to 2-3000 feet in the air you'll get the chance to actually control the aircraft! How amazing - actually being in control as two human beings soar above the earth. Reach dizzying heights and learn how to steer this awesome flying machine. Toward the end hand control back over to the pilot for an exhilarating low-level experience down Australia's most beautiful stretch of golden coast. Now that's an experience!

This experience flies out of Caloundra Airport, just five minutes from the Caloundra town centre.
Session Length
This flight available is available most of the day, 364 days a year. The half hour is actual air time too! Allow 50 minutes all together.
Guidelines:
This experience has a maximum weight of 120kgs and a max height of 203cm (6'5"). People with heart problems should seek medical advice prior.
Spectators:
Spectators are welcome, especially for the photo opportunities!
Weather:
If the weather is bad we won't fly - we'd never compromise your safety. We'll let you know hopefully 3 hours or more in advance if we need to reschedule (no cost).

Great little plane, great instructor, beautiful scenery, what more could I ask for.

My husband went on it and hasn't stopped talking about it. He loved everything about it from the pilot to the plane to the view to everything. We are hopefully going to book a flight for our daughter who also was excited to actually just sit in the plane and the pilot explained things to her. Thank you so much for this experience. It was great!!

I give my experience 100% positive feedback. My wife gave me a flying lesson voucher at Caloundra for my birthday. If you are lucky enough to do the same make sure you book when Tony will be your instructor.

My instructor was terrific - made me feel like I was really in control of the plane (although I suspect he was doing quite a bit that I couldn't see). Anyway was a great feeling! He was also mindful of my motion sickness - didn't spin the plane around too quickly.

It was an excellent experience with friendly and engaged staff. The aircraft was top notch and the experience everything it promise to be. The pilot was excellent, happy to discuss all attributes of flight and the aircraft, and really did let you take control!
