Don the leather flying helmet and goggles and get ready for a flight of pure nostalgia, from an era of romance and excitement. Let the wind blow through your hair as you experience the thrill of an aerobatic flight in a tiger moth, a superb 1940s vintage open cockpit bi-plane.
Upon arrival at the hangar, you will meet your pilot and ground staff for the day and be shown around the vintage, open cockpit Tiger Moth aircraft (with plenty of time for photos) where safety aspects will be explained. Then you will be helped to strap yourself into your seat. For the duration of the flight you'll be sitting in the front seat and your pilot will be seated behind you. When all is ready and the propeller has been swung to start the engine, you will be up and away on your aerobatic flight.
You have communication with your pilot for the duration of the flight and he will make the journey as enjoyable as possible for you, explaining the Manoeuvres and being as adventurous with loop the loops and rolls as you wish. Alternatively you can choose to just sit and watch the world fly past while your pilot points out the areas of interest.
On return to the Hangar you will be assisted from the aircraft by the ground crew where there is an opportunity for some more photos to compliment your amazing memories of your tiger moth aerobatic flight.
This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.
Venue:
Camden Airport – approximately 60-90 minutes from Sydney CBD - NSW (depending on traffic).
Session Length
Allow approximately 60 minutes for the total experience, including 15 minutes preparation time, approximately 30 minutes flight time and then 10-15 minutes at the end of flight for photos etc. Flights are available from 7am - 5pm, everyday (excludes Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Years Day).
Guidelines:
There is a minimum age 15 years and a maximum weight 115 kg. A camera is ok but please bring a strap to attach it to your wrist. We ask customers to sign a flight form that gives us their name address and phone number. The passenger is fully insured for the duration of the flight.
Numbers:
You will be one-on-one with your pilot.
Spectators:
All spectators are very welcome and will be escorted to an area on the tarmac where they can watch you take-off and land.
Weather:
Clear, calm conditions are needed. We cancel in strong wind and adverse conditions. If in doubt please ring before leaving home. If cancelled we will re-schedule at a time to suit the customer. Minimum of 24 hours is required to reschedule otherwise a 25% cancellation fee may be charged.
Other Info:
Flights take place between 7am and 5pm, available 7 days a week, subject to weather conditions. This experience is not available Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Years Day. The best time of the day is very early morning – due to calm air.

It was great, an unforgettable experience. Shane the pilot was very good, explaining what was going to happen, and when, so taking some of the anxiety out of it. Although I'm sure some anxiety and adrenalin contributes to the experience.

Due to health and then weather issues it took several tries before I finally got aloft but the company was very accommodating and happily extended the time. Good fun and well organised.

I've been on a Tiger Moth aerobatic flight before, but this was far better! Loop the loops, barrel rolls, downward spirals and more! This is not for the faint-hearted. Really good value and I would recommend it to everyone with a strong heart.

A great experience. Something I had always wanted to do from when I was a kid. I'm glad I did! The pilot was indeed very skilled and most helpfull. I wish that some of the comercial pilots could land their planes as smoothly as he did and they are on smooth concrete runways!The reception and admistrative staff were also very friendly and helpfull.I have already started recommending the flight to my friends.

The pilot, Jamie was very good, knew his stuff, friendly and made the flight most enjoyable, the groundstaff were also very good and the receptionist, lovely, no complaints, I'll be back.

Leo (the pilot) and Clair in the office were very accommodating and although we had a small mixup with the aircraft, they handled the situation with great professionalism. A good organisation that ensures you are getting value for your money. Leo took the time to ensure I could ask whatever I wanted and is clearly someone who enjoys his trade. The day was totally enjoyable while I enjoyed the flight, the family was also having a fun day on the ground. The pilot also enjoys his job and this is imparted too all concerned. In the tiger moth you have a real experience of raw flight. The aerobatic flight was a buzz and it was decided that my brothers and brother inlaw will be sent up with there birthdays in future time.
