The only down side was the rain which prevented us from visiting all of the photo shoot locations, but no one can predict that. I would be interested in attending a different workshop with Andy later in the year to perhaps do the night time shoot. Thanks Andy you were great, I just want to go out and take photos now using my new found knowledge. Cheers Alison

A thorough workshop covering the theory of good photography, especially landscapes, people and buildings. It would have been interesting to look a bit more into creative photography though.

Maybe an outline of the experience i.e. what will be covered and where the learning will take place. Also you could let people know to take protective clothing i.e. hat, long-sleved shirt, sunscreen and water.

Everything was great, everything was explained very well and thoroughly and we still had heaps of time left over to take photos.

This workshop was a birthday gift from my daughter... we did the class together and are now excited to share our 'handy hints' with our family! I look forward to using these hints on my next trip to Thailand. This workshop was a great base to start and i would definitely like to expand and branch out to different workshops.

The group was nice and small (3 people) and I found this 3 hour workshop was the perfect amount of time to give me handy little hints of how to use my SLR properly and to improve my photo taking skills.. I will definitely be trying for more PHOTOGRAPHS rather than Snap Shots on my next holiday :-) Its amazing the difference it makes to have some knowledge of photography principles...

I thought I learned a lot. I had a point and click camera and still picked up pointers.

Luke Ballard conducted a great workshop, we had a mixture of people with a wide range of camera types and Luke spent the time one on one explaining to each individual how to use their camera. For me I have recently purchased a DSLR and benefited greatly from this workshop.

Within 24 hours of doing the photography class I have already recommended the 'birthday gift' I received. Being a strictly point and shoot camera buff - for too many years now - I was delighted to learn how to manually operate the camera so effectively! So very pleased I had the chance to use this 'gift voucher' prior to our upcoming holidays. The generous three hours flew. Highly recommend.

Wow - after 3 short hours I went from a 'point and shoot' picture taker to a clued up landscape photographer - thanks Luke! Would definitely recommend this workshop.

I had a great experience and learned so much. I became so motivated to make my photogragphs more interesting. Luke spoke in terms that were easy to understand and implement. Apart from
learning to use all the functions on my camera, I had lots of fun. My Photo Workshop was a Birthday
gift from my daughters. It gave them a great deal of pleasure knowing how much I enjoyed it..
Thank you Luke and RedBalloon.

I loved this experience! Luke is great at showing & teaching you what you need to take a great photo, not just a 'snap shot'! I definitely recommend this workshop for people wanting to learn how to take great travel photos!

Workshop was excellent - a small group with plenty of individual attention and an instructor who clearly demonstrated his knowledge and expertise whilst making it an enjoyable fun experience in which to learn. It has re-ignited my passion for photography
