This Night Photography Class will teach you lots of great tips on how to take spectacular night photos. Night photography opens up a whole new world of opportunities where you can achieve amazing results!

In groups of 6 or less, you will start your lesson with an introduction of how to set up your camera and tripod to achieve picture perfect results.

This practical photography workshop will introduce you to some very simple, yet inspiring techniques for shooting after dark. As the light changes you will learn how to expose for mood, compose inventive night portraits, artfully capture moving lights and take a variety of photos in low light situations. You will also receive class notes to compliment your practical learning experience.

Venue:

This experience takes place in Melbourne's CBD in Victoria; Adelaide's CBD in South Australia, Brisbane's CBD in QLD and Canberra in ACT. Advertised dates are for CBD locations in Capital Cities only. For other locations, please enquire.

Session Length

This Night Photography Class runs for two hours. It begins at sunset and thus commences at different times throughout the year.

Guidelines:

Participants need to supply their own camera equipment, including film or digital camera, a tripod, memory card and a fully-charged battery. Tripods can be hired for a fee. A cable release or remote is also recommended. This course is NOT suitable for compact cameras without full manual capability.

Numbers:

This workshop is limited to a minimum of 2 and maximum of 6 students. If minimum number of bookings is not met, the workshop will be postponed to the following dates available.

Spectators:

This is a class chock-full of helpful hints, so anyone who wants to come along is a full-paying participant!

Weather:

Locations may vary according to weather conditions. A weather check is completed the night before the workshop. If weather forecast is for severe conditions the experience will be postponed.

Other Info:

This workshop is suitable for anyone over the age of 14 who has a basic level of fitness. There is a small amount of walking, you will need to carry your own equipment on the night.

Cancellation Policy:

48 hours notice is required to reschedule. Failure to provide notice within this period of time will result in your voucher being forfeited.

This experience was perfectly pitched at a wide range of amateur skill levels and taught practical skills with great support. Now it's practice, practice, practice :-). I think she secretly loved the sparkler part too just quietly. Spend a little bit of time getting to know the camera settings before may help, but not entirely necessary. 3 May 2013

She presented a range of interesting subjects and techniques for capturing quality shots and brought out the fun side of taking photos as well.
