An interactive scary comedy performed in the original farm buildings at Werribee Park. Experience life in the 19th century as you are taken on your first night as new employees at the farm. But beware, an ancient creatue Black Anny is haunting the farm.

This interative and entertaining play‘Down to Earth’ is set in 1866 at Werribee Park farm. Joe Higgs, Head Boundary Rider greets you as a new farm worker with enthusiasm. But his authority is often tested by Esther McLeod, headstrong and fiercely independent. As night falls, what starts as a fun welcome to the farm takes on a very sinister turn as Black Anny (an ancient creature terrorizing the farm) comes out of her hiding. You are taken on our journey of rural life in the 19th century and visit many old buildings like the historic homestead, the old blacksmith’s hut, the men’s hat, the rations hut and the stables. Great fun! Recommended for anyone 10 and up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by A great experience. Really enjoyed it and was interesting to see the lifestyle of the pioneers. Also loved the wild life (not including Black Annie). The actors were extremely proficient and talented. There were a few frights along the way and they were fun. 4 March 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 Fantasic, had a ball! highly recommend! Actors were fantastic and very friendly. The tour is a fantastic way to appreciate the old buildings and the way of life of the past. Lots of laughs, with a few spooky moments too! We decided to stay the night at the Werribee Mansion to enjoy the rest of the grounds the next day. A lovely weekend! Thanks :) 3 March 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by The entertainers were very friendly and helpful. Overall the night was good. Couple of points. Even though we were early we were made to wait an extra 15 minutes for late comers. Also in the kitchen was too crowded and dark so we missed that entire part of the show. The lights for walking around were not good, when on they just glared in the eyes making vision even worse, making it quite nerve racking for one of our group, who was recovering from a broken arm and didnt wish to fall again. The entertainers were very friendly and helpful. Was a good night. Thank you 21 January 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by even the weather played a part A very enjoyable evening being "introduced" as a new farm worker to the farmstead. Extremely well done and managed. On our evening, the weather was mild, with a wonderful lightning display off in the distance, which really helped to add to the atmosphere. The script has a nice balance of historical detail and comedy in it, and the actors were very comfortable with their parts and able to easily incorporate audience interaction into their patter. Although the description says "rough walking," don't expect a serious hike - it's a relaxed stroll, mainly on gravel paths, but sometimes over a bit of paddock. The main issue for anyone would be walking around in the dark if you're a bit unsteady on your feet. Also, you spend a bit of time standing, so if you're not up to standing for ten minutes at a time, then maybe consider doing something else. 16 December 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by What a laugh! Thoroughly enjoyed the show at no stage were we bored or waiting for it to end. In fact when it did finish I was surprised as it seemed too short but had in fact gone for over an hour. Well worth the money. 14 February 2012
