More about Megan

Australian Human Resources Institute’s (AHRI) HR Practitioner of the Year for 2011, receiving the Dave Ulrich award for her contribution to business outcomes through HR practises, Megan’s entrepreneurial approach to RedBalloon’s reward and recognition, L&D and recruitment practices has enabled the company to achieve an engagement score of over 90% in Hewitt’s Best Employer and appear in the Best Places to Work survey two years in a row.

Her uniqueness as a HR practitioner lies in her refusal to view employees as 'resources' arguing that "true motivation and engagement lies in creating the very best individual employee experience." Megan believes in the evolution of traditional HR to the Employee Experience, as it’s not about how people work as resources within companies, rather how they experience them. Megan is truly passionate about creating reasons for RedBallooners to brag about their working week by ensuring a connection between our values, brand and people.

Her enthusiasm for constant innovation and reinvention within the Employee Experience keeps our people inspired, engaged and always guessing. She has been credited as one of the Who’s who in HR in HC Magazine and is the driving force behind 3 years of our engagement score of 90%+.
