To keep their finger on the pulse in Aussie and Kiwi workplaces, RedBalloon conduct a quarterly survey asking employees what they think about certain issues they are facing. The latest survey asked over 3000 employees what they think about their managers and their ability to engage them in the workplace, particularly in the lead up to the upturn.
The results showed employees are quite vocal about the lack of recognition and praise they have received from their bosses throughout the GFC and in the lead up to the upturn.
A substantial amount of employees admitted this would contribute to their decision to leave, a costly reality for businesses in the wake of the upturn.
