NZ Manager's New 'Life Experience'

The time has come for me to sign off for now, as RedBalloon’s Kiwi Manager, and focus full time on motherhood for a while. Lucas has just turned 3 and I am expecting another wee boy in mid/late June. I am not sure how I am going to cope with 3 men in the household, but I am certainly not the first mum to do so (strangely enough families full of boys seems to be the norm right now. One of my friends is even expecting her 4th boy!).

Thank you to everyone who has supported me and RedBalloon since early 2009. I have enjoyed discussions with many of you around the value of gifting experiences, which fits in so well with the philosophy about living life fully and sharing success with those you love.

We have introduced some exciting new corporate clients into RedBalloon, who use us for Reward and Recognition programs, sales incentives, retail and trade competitions and referral programs.

I have also loved hearing about how some of your staff/recipients have celebrated with their vouchers, and been pleased to hear of males indulging in pamper treatments, people embracing their fear (one recipient taking his whole family on a ropes confidence course when he had a fear of flying) and others upskilling themselves, whether it be a makeover session or learning to fly a Cessna.

Personally, I have also enjoyed celebrating my successes with RedBalloon experiences. The highlight would have to be the abseiling and horseriding simply because I really didn’t think I was up for it (I originally turned the opportunity down). But once I had completed both (very exhilarating!) experiences, I felt such a surge of adrenalin, and a sense of achievement, which left me buzzing for days.

This was completed before I became pregnant! Some experiences I have done more recently, which are certainly more sedate, but just as memorable, include a wonderful glass beadmaking course(there is a piccie of me in the review on the site), a majestic harbour lunch cruise and my VERY relaxing pregnancy massage and pedicure
