How to celebrate the end of Financial Year

Top tips to make it a fantastic celebration!

The New Year strategy is finalised, the planograms are printed and the budget has been given the nod. Before you get swept up in the New Year’s tasks, KPIs and projects, take the time to celebrate with your team.

Whether it is a relaxing afternoon of team massages, an adrenaline filled sailing event, a celebration of great food and drinks or a gift for each employee, team recognition is a valuable source of motivation, appreciation, and retention. It is an opportunity for every business to ensure continued efficiencies and show appreciation for a year of commitment and shared success.

1. Find out what your people like to do (and what they don’t want to do): Run a quick survey, ask questions and get the team involved in the planning (if appropriate). Everyone will feel more involved and excited about your celebration!
    
2. Keep things fun yet simple: A great team event does not need to be complicated, it just needs to be well planned and something everyone can join in with. Keep in mind how you are going to transport people and if you need to arrange food and drinks – a grumbling tummy can be very distracting!
